Cube House
November 12, 2007

I’ve been wanting to design and build a cost-effective, “green” and modern structure from the ground-up for a very long time. I have some drawings of several house designs and ideas. I may post some of them online one of these days, but I’m waiting to do scale model 3D visualizations of the designs with photo-realistic lighting and the whole nine yards. While the design of the cube house shown here is a bit severe for my tastes, I do like a lot of elements about this cool house. I want oneeee! Check it out…

Check out the pics of the house here…

MyWork: A Retrospective
November 6, 2007

a retrospective of my architectural work

Above: A preview of my handywork 🙂

I have been designing and building things since I was a wee toddler. While some of you may be familiar with the creative agency I owned for many years, I’ve also been designing houses for some time now. I did my first remodel of a home on my mom’s kitchen when I was 16. It was actually a surprise, she had no idea until she came home and saw what I had did. Her reaction was priceless and I have become addicted to see people’s reaction to good design. Architecture and design are just a few of the passions I have. I find myself naturally inspired by the Asian sensibilities and design aesthetics and mid-century and early modernists such as Frank Lloyd Wright, Mies Van der Rohe, Richard Neutra and others. I am working on putting together case studies of some of my favorite projects, including gut renovations of important homes by Florida architects such as George Reed that I have done. Stay tuned!
